I’m Mavin Sao, a Cambodian Ph.D. student in the Smart Computing Lab (SCLAB) at Chonnam National University, South Korea. I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science from Chonnam National University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

🔬 Research Interests

My research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Medical Imaging, and Multi-Modal Learning, mainly developing intelligent systems for radiology report generation. My current interests include:

• Medical Image-to-Text Translation: generating radiology reports from medical images such as chest X-rays and CT scans.
• Referring Segmentation Based on Medical Findings: localizing and segmenting regions in medical images described by clinical findings.
• Symptom-to-Finding Reasoning: linking patient symptoms to the image findings that may explain them.
• Contrastive Learning: learning aligned image and text representations for medical vision-language models.
